Highlights of Last Trip to NYC with Mom

New York City | The Highlights of the City You Must See & Do

This past October, my mother and I enjoyed three full fabulous three days in New York City. It was our third year in a row spending fall break in the city, and I am a firm believer that you can do SO much in three days.

All you have to do is decide what the central points of your trip are from the start of the trip because the city is so big and busy. Each year I have gone with my mom, we have had a whole new vibe of trip each time, and I love that!

With the passing of my mother, I hope to one day continue this NYC tradition with my daughter.

There is always something unique to explore and discover in NYC! ♥

This year we stayed at the Plaza Hotel, a historic and beautiful hotel.

Remember the movie Home Alone? YES that hotel! Every room and inch of the hotel possess incredible features and designs. I would recommend everyone to stay at the Plaza at least once in their lifetime.

No matter what city you are in, can you ever really go wrong with ordering in room service?

Even if it is champagne and deserts.

The food is so great in NYC but sometimes for a night it feels so good to stay in the hotel, especially when the sheets are amazing as the sheets at the Plaza.

Room Service

Here you can recognize that I was obviously living my time up in the city with my mom. I am very thankful that I cherished this time we spent together so much. You never know when it is your last time doing anything you love with the person you love.

Our hotel room at the Plaza was gorgeous.

We took a trip to the spa and spent the rest of the day in the room in our robes, yet it was still perfect!

Seeing a Broadway is such a favorite thing to do in the city, and I completely understand why. We decided to see Book of Mormon, and it was perfect. My mother and I both laughed throughout the whole production; it was hysterical.

Although the show was violently inappropriate, we still LOVED it. The photo below shows the theater we watched the production in and a picture of my mother and I after the show.

This night is one of my most cherished memories with my mom; I'll never forget how much fun and how many laughs we shared!

Whatever your plans are in New York City, shopping is something you cannot pass up.

No matter how much money you are looking to spend, New York City will have something for you. I purchased my whole outfit in the photo at Madwell in NYC, which happened to be one of my favorite shops this year in NYC.

Overall, I loved carrying on the tradition of spending a long weekend in NYC with my mother one last time. However, I will one day carry it on with my daughter and create new memories and reflect on the beautiful ones I made with my dear mother.

Thank you for reading!

I would love to hear your favorite things to do in New York City!
