Hamptons Travel Diary
If you follow me on Instagram you know I recently went on a trip to the Hamptons in New York with two other travel bloggers, Shaunie and Vicki. I decided to share a little day by day travel diary to show you guys all the places we went and what our day-to-day itinerary looked like!
DAY ONE
We took a lyft from Brooklyn to Southampton to the hotel we were staying at Capri Southampton. We immediately had access to our hotel room and got settled in pretty quickly as we were all anxious and ready to start exploring and experiencing the Hamptons.
Today we went to the Duckwalk Winery. I loved the Chardonnay here, we bought a bottle and it was a pretty good decision.
We took our bottle of Chardonnay outside to walk through the vineyards at the Duckwalk winery.
It was so beautiful but it started storming about 20 minutes after we got there but as you can see in the pictures below, we still got to have a nice walk and little shoot before the storm.
During the storm, the owner of the Winery took us back to where all of the barrels are and showed us some famous people who have visited the winery and signed their name, my heart smiled a little bit when I saw Kim Kardashian's name :)
For dinner tonight we ate at the Union Cantina in Southampton, I am so glad someone recommended this restaurant to us.
It was so good, the tacos I had were amazing! It was also perfect timing because it was taco Tuesday :)
Day two
We started off the day with breakfast in bed which is probably the best start to any day ever. We spent the morning around the gorgeous pool at the hotel.
In the afternoon we visited a Lavender field.
We got super lucky because it was actually the last day of the year the fields were open! It was so beautiful here but I did get stung by a bee... twice :/ luckily I was able to buy some lavender essential oils right at the location to help soothe the sting and calm my nerves :)
After visiting the lavender fields we went to Pindar vineyards which is full of beautiful sunflower fields.
Obviously so perfect for gorgeous photos. The three of us drank a bottle of their special sunflower Chardonnay and it was delicious!! (I also had a coke and a bag of Nacho Doritos) After a bottle, we had a nice photoshoot here and the whole area was so calming and beautiful we didn’t want to ever leave.
Today was a really long day of traveling and shooting and getting stung by bees so we ordered in Italian food/pizza tonight, and tbh that's my favorite kind of night.
Day three
Started our morning with breakfast in bed again so I knew it had to be a good day once again :-)
We left in the late morning for Montauk which was about an hour drive in a lyft. The first thing we did was eat lunch at Tacombi in Montauk and it was so on point, delicious and definitely aesthetically pleasing, a win-win situation.
After lunch, we walked around Montauk and there were so many cute stores, restaurants, and bars.
We stopped to change into our swimsuits and then headed to the beach to get a little time by the water.
The water was so so beautiful as well as the sand. I wish we could’ve stayed longer!!
We changed clothes, again ;) to shoot for a collaboration we were working on with Lyft to promote the cute new beach cars they were bringing this weekend in Montauk. After finishing up shooting the lyft campaign, we headed to the Montaukbrewing company because it’s Shaunie’s favorite summer ale so it was a great way to end our day in Montauk.
Day four
Another early morning for us, 8 am. I don’t know about you, but 8 am is very early for me.
Vicki had to leave us around noon so we wanted to have a full morning with her shooting and chilling by the pool at our hotel a little bit more. To read more about where we stayed during the trip, read this post: Capri Southampton Hotel
In the afternoon Shaunie and I visited two more wineries.
Side note, before this trip I had never gone to any winery or done a wine tasting so this was a whole new scene for me. And the Hampton's felt like the perfect place for me to start my winery visit journey.
The first winery we visited was the Channing Daughters winery, we tried SO many different types of wines. I finally feel like I understand wine, ( a little ;) )
The weather was so so so gorgeous today I felt so blessed and happy. In the late afternoon, we headed back to our hotel for one last swim and meal before heading back to Brooklyn to stay at Shaunies apartment before my flight the next day at 8 in the morning! I hate saying bye to good friends, it's the worst but I am so thankful for this trip and all of the awesome experiences we shared together :)
That's a wrap on my trip to the Hamptons!
