Pet Friendly Staycation at the Conrad Indy
I recently had an extra special staycation at the Conrad in Downtown Indianapolis. This was not my first time staying at this gorgeous hotel although it was definitely the most exciting because I brought my dog, Teddy along with me!
The Conrad is located right in the heart of Downtown Indy, anything that you would want to do downtown is nearby. Even though once you get to the Conrad, you will not want to leave to go anywhere else.
As much as I love to travel, I hate leaving Teddy behind and I know a lot of other people that feel this way about their dogs too! If you are one of those people then I’ve got some good news for you, all of the rooms and suites at the Conrad are pet-friendly!
All of the staff members made Teddy and I feel right at home as soon as we arrived. There was a dog bed in our hotel room as well as a tray of goodies for us as soon as we walked in.
We stayed in a corner suite for the weekend, Teddy had lots of room to run around! Our suite was absolutely gorgeous. It had two different stunning views of the city. A little side note: every room at the Conrad has the BEST bathtubs.
I love the pool and hot tub at the Conrad! We actually went to the pool that Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday morning before we left, I enjoy it that much!
There is also a 24-hour fitness center, sauna, and a steam room. If you are in the mood for some serious relaxation, the Evan Todd Spa & Salon is right next to the pool and very good.
In-Room Dining
I am a BIG room service girl, seriously nothing makes me happier than eating any meal in bed. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack time, anytime. You can order all of your meals from a tablet at the Conrad. The in-room dining was also super nice with Teddy. FYI, I am constantly eating off of Tucker’s plate and vice versa; so we split all of these meals!
For breakfast, we got “The Indy” which consists of: Freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs, bacon or sausage links, seasoned breakfast potatoes, toast with butter and jam. It also comes with freshly brewed coffee!
Our next choice was the buttermilk pancakes, I LOVED these. You can add blueberries, bananas, or chocolate chips to these as well. We also got the assorted baked pastries.
For dinner, we had the asiago spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer. I ordered the filet mignon with parmesan fries, broccoli, and crispy fried onions.
Tucker ordered the Black Angus Burger with Sweet Potato Fries.
A few hours later we ordered our desert for the night. Cookies and milk! :) The perfect end to a relaxing and fun day.
The Tastings Wine Experience at the Conrad is the largest by-the-taste venue in Indianapolis, offering over 200 wines. The Patio at Tastings is also dog-friendly! It was raining like crazy during my stay, so we were unable to sit on the patio but Teddy and I will be back for sure. Tastings also has lots of lunch items, desserts, and a brunch menu on Saturday and Sundays.
The Capital Grille is another well known fantastic restaurant located in the lobby of the Conrad. Seriously, I don't think you could order anything bad there!
Whether you live in or around Indianapolis or you are planning to visit, I highly recommend staying at the Conrad and bringing your fur baby with you if you have one :) It’s extremely easy to take your dog to the bathroom outside throughout your stay, you really only have to take a few steps out of the main lobby doors!
If you have any questions at all about bringing your pet with you to the Conrad, please feel free to reach out and ask me!
We had the most amazing weekend at the Conrad and I already am looking forward to the next one! Thank you to the entire staff at the Conrad Indianapolis for hosting us for the weekend!
